Modern scientists have decided to study the phenomenon of drug addiction with the utmost seriousness. As a result, over the past fifteen years, there have been many scientific experiments and discoveries. It is connected with a fact that it is almost impossible to cure drug addiction or conduct its complete prevention not knowing the detail mechanisms of this problem formation. The purpose of this paper is to examine the problem of drug addiction.

As a rule, a sick person always hastens and wants quickly to get rid of the disease. However, people, suffering from drug addiction, are not in a hurry to receive treatment. Moreover, such people often do not think and do not suspect that they have some health problems. In the majority of cases, they want to recover only if they become involved in any dramatically catastrophic consequences. In that case, people understand that they are sick and need treatment. Nevertheless, it can be too late, and a person can have irreversible changes in the body. At the same time, everyone understands that treatment of any addiction is always difficult, and sometimes it gives only minimum results.

Drugs that are used by a person have an extremely negative impact on the brain, causing addiction. Actually, it is the most important link for the disease development. Moreover, drugs negatively affect all the other human organs and even the human body in the whole. Naturally, people have known about the great toxic effects of such substances since ancient times. These substances are able to influence not only the brain, but also the liver, kidneys, heart, and endocrine system. Undoubtedly, drugs can affect the reproductive organs and even the future of the human offspring. Scientists have long been able to prove that drug addictive parents are at a high risk of having children, which in the future can also become addicted. Furthermore, drug use even during pregnancy can lead to the birth of babies with a developed syndrome of drug dependency.

It should be noted that in the medical practice, there is a number of special symptoms that may be modified depending on the type of taken drugs or their amount. There are several symptoms of intoxication after cannabinoids consumption. The mental condition can range from unmotivated cheerfulness, laughter, and unrestrained talkativeness to unpleasant anxiety, feeling of fear, and even aggression. The smoker may have a distorted sense of time and distance and feel considerable anxiety. Pupils are extremely expanded, and skin becomes pale. There is an especially dangerous fact that in the short breaks between the habitual intakes of such drugs in the earliest stages of the disease, there are absolutely no serious or significant changes in the patient’s behavior or the state of health. However, the memory is gradually reduced, and there are real signs of inadequate causeless mood changes.

However, intoxication, caused by opiates, is characterized by other symptoms. People experience euphoria and even a pleasant feeling of comfort and relaxation while pupils are sharply narrowed. Over time, this condition can be replaced by lush talkativeness with dramatically vivid facial expressions. When a person exits from this opium intoxication, dangerous abstinence appears directly in the real physical state. As it can be seen, every drug has peculiar features when a person takes it. Thus, every substance can have different impact on the body.

If to speak about drug treatment, it should be provided only in strictly specialized clinics where a patient can have a qualified help. Besides, such an aid always presupposes strictly comprehensive treatment. Nevertheless, much depends on the patient and his desire to be healthy.

In conclusion essay examples, drug addiction is a serious and widespread problem these days. All drugs have terrifying effects on the human body, causing addiction. Moreover, this state is extremely difficult to treat. Thus, relatives and medical personnel should make every possible effort to treat an addicted person.
