Če so tudi člani neposredno vključeni o postopek odločanja že od samega začetka, je riziko nastajanja asociacij in sporov občutno zmanjšan. V organizaciji pa je ustvarjeno širše soglasje o skupnih problemih. Mehanizmi udeležbe javnosti pogosto zahtevajo temeljite analize in študije proizvodnih postopkov podjetij in morebitnih dolgoročnih vplivov dovoljenih poseganj v okolje. Slovenija je na tem področju šele v začetni fazi, zato se AAG vključuje v postopke pridobivanja okoljevarstvenih dovoljen in soglasij, če je zato zaprošena bodi si od svojih članov ali društev in civilnih iniciativ, ki delujejo zunaj asociacije AAG. Uspehi so zelo obetavni saj smo povezali vse države bivše Jugoslavije, Italjane in Slovence, da so se združili in pričeli z pritiski na vlade in na evropsko unijo z istimi zahtevami za dosego istega cilja.
